Carl "Sam" Gardinier, age 98, was born to Olive and Ralph Gardinier at Minneapolis, Kansas.  He was a Sheet Metal worker and member of the Sheet Metal Workers Local 1129.  He served with the U.S. Army C Troop, 7th Reg 1st Cal. Div. in World War 2.

He is survived by his wife Marilyn, two sons, one daughter-in-law, six grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and one sister.

Family only service will be held at Baker Funeral Home Valley Center Chapel on Thursday, October 27, followed by graveside at Kechi Township Cemetery, Wichita, Kansas.
