Callie Sue Dorsett, age 73, passed away on Monday, the 11th of May, 2026 in Wichita, Kansas.

Born in Kansas City, Missouri to Leonard Calvin and Ella Jane (Couch) Warren .

She was a lifelong resident of Wichita. She was a graduate of Heights High School, attended WSU, and completed her certificate of Theological Education at Seewanee.

She generously gave her time to others through years of volunteer work, leading Girl Scouts, supporting families through her work with Victory in the Valley, and devoted countless hours to volunteering in her children’s schools in many capacities.

She lived a life deeply devoted to Christ, faithfully serving her church through years of ministry, volunteer work, and compassionate care for others. Her deep faith was reflected in the many leadership roles she held and in her lifelong membership in The Order of the Daughters of the King.

Throughout her life, she dedicated herself to both service and professional excellence through her work with the Girl Scout Council, Best Western Reservation Center International, Vatterott College, Leading Edge Financial, and St. Andrew's Episcopal Church. She balanced each role with grace and dedication, all while lovingly raising three beautiful daughters.

She found joy in many hobbies throughout her life, including handcrafts, quilting and knitting, gardening, cooking and baking, ornithology, and going to the theater. She especially enjoyed the creativity of her handcrafts, the peace of her garden, and the simple pleasure of sharing food, nature, and cultural experiences with others.

She’s preceded in death by both parents, her sister Jane Anne Warren/Gee, and daughter Aimee Nicole Dorsett, who she devotedly cared for throughout her battle with leukemia.

She is survived by her husband James J. Dorsett, daughters Jenniffer J. Dorsett (Gary Wischmeyer) and Rachel M. Durastanti (John IV), grandchildren Mark, Ashley, and Alyssa, and siblings Len Warren Jr., Margie Hapke, and Herb Warren.

Service will be held on Saturday, May 16th, 2:00 pm at St. Johns Episcopal Church in Wichita. Followed by internments at Kechi Township Cemetery, 6523 N. Hillside, Wichita, Kansas.
