BURL JAMES EDWARD INGLE
This is the story of Burl James Edward Ingle, 81 years old of Wichita, Kansas who passed away Sunday, January 27, 2019 with his family surrounding him. Burl's story started on August 22, 1937 in Hill City, Georgia when he was born to Hoyt and Lois (Wilson) Ingle. He married Janine (Morse) Ingle on March 9, 1991, Wichita, Kansas. He is survived by his wife, Janine (Morse) Ingle, Step Mother, Helen (Haley) Ingle, daughter Tracye (Ricky) Lynn of Dayton, Tenn; sons Reid (Cheryl) Ingle of Atlanta, GA; Russ (Connie) Ingle of Hill City, KS; Jesse (Sarah) Ingle of Valley Center, KS; Adam Ingle of Valley Center, KS. Half-sisters Sharon (Ingle) King, Charlotte (Ingle) Mealor and Jennifer (Ingle) Thomason all of Calhoun, GA. He loved every one of his (10) Grandchildren, (10) Great Grandchildren and (2) Great-Great Grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, brother/sister in laws and so many friends from all his walks in life. Burl attended TCU on a basketball scholarship and later attended Colorado Boulder School of Mines. He joined National Guard in High School, Dobbins Air Force, Marietta, GA (1954); 40 year member of Masonic Fraternity and joined the Shriners in 1966. He was a member of Valley Center United Methodist Church. Burl had a wide variety of vocations that including Brick Masonry, Farming/Ranching, Law Enforcement, Textile Industry, Business Manager and Owner and CEO Better Business Bureau of Kansas. Burl had an avid love for flying small private planes in his younger days; he also loved to hunt, fish and camp with friends and family. As Burl matured he really enjoyed tending to his home and mostly grooming his yard. Burl also loved talking to people and telling life time stories with his friends and family. Burl was a true sports memorability expert and he loved to talk about sports. Mostly Burl truly loved to spend time with his family. He would light up when any of his kids or grand kids would come into a room. Memorials designated in his memory to: Valley Center First United Methodist Church, 560 N. Park, Valley Center, Ks 67147, or Isis Shriners, 200 E. Diamond Dr., Salina, KS 67402. Visitation 5-7 p.m., Wednesday, January 30, and Service is 11 a.m., Thursday, January 31, both held at the First United Methodist Church, Valley Center, Kansas.
