BRENT  CURTIS  RAY, 55, passed away on Tuesday, October 10, 2017. He was born in Wellington, Kansas to Clinton Cleo Ray and Joy (Pace) Ray. He is a graduate of Clearwater High School. He married the love of his life, Sheila, on October 26, 2011 in Las Vegas, Nevada.Brent was proud of being an iron worker with Griffith Steel Erection. He is survived by his wife Sheila; children, Jackie Ray, Charles Reyes, Smantha Luther (Nick Ratley); grandchildren, Alyssa Kennedy, Matthew Kennedy, Ciala Johansen and Willow Ratley; mother Sue Ray of Clearwater; brother Monty (Gail) Ray of Clearwater; sister Aleta Allen (Michael Kretzer); brother and sister inlaws: Kevin (Mindy) Chance of Sedgwick, Wendell (Liz) Chance of Valley Center, Charlotte (Chris) Wilken of Haysville; wonderful friend Jerry Griffith, many union iron worker brothers, other family and friends. He is preceded in death by his father Clinton 'Cleo' Ray, granddaughter Dakota Kennedy, grandparents Clarence & Alta (Bingham) Ray, and Robert & Bonnie (Braskears) Pace. Service 5:00 p.m., Monday, October 16 at Baker Funeral Home Chapel, 100 S. Cedar, Valley Center. Following the service is a dinner and visitation at 7149 W. 87 ^th N., Valley Center, Kansas.
