WICHITA, KANSAS

Fraser, Bonnie B. (Williams) , age 93, died December 9, 2015 in Wichita, Kansas. Bonnie was born in a sod house near Syracuse, Kansas to Lillie and Ivan Williams on June 25, 1922. During· her senior year at Dodge City High School she met the love of her life and future husband, Kenneth Fraser, while he was an usher at the local movie theater. They married a year later. In 1944 Kenneth joined the Navy and they moved to California and then returned to Dodge after the war. While raising her family, Bonnie worked for Southwestern Bell and later owned "The Hatbox Boutique" with her sister, Rosemary. She was a very talented seamstress and created formals, capes and beautiful wedding gowns (one of which she made for her treasured niece Linda). After their sons Knute and Scott "got out of Dodge," she and Kenneth moved to Houston, then to Wichita, where Bonnie worked for the Ford Motor Credit Company until retirement. Bonnie and Kenneth loved traveling in their RV with their camping club "The Tumbleweeds" and making many friends along the way. More recently she traveled with her son, Knute and daughter-in-law, Judy in their motor home to Branson and many other locations for 14 years. She enjoyed going to the Wichita State Basketball games with Knute, Judy and Scott for over a decade. Bonnie was a fun loving person and totally dedicated to her family and her faith. She is predeceased by her parents, Lillie and Ivan Williams; husband, Kenneth Fraser; sisters, Nellie Spiker and Rosemary West. Her survivors include, sons G. Knute (Judy) Fraser and Scott: Fraser; grandchildren, Monisa Fraser and her daughter Mika Perez, Shayne (Randy) Fraser and their daughter Marisa, Brian Fraser and Tiffany Fraser; niece, Linda (Bud) Koch; and many other relatives and friends. The family wishes to thank Vintage Park Assisted Living and their wonderful staff for giving Bonnie so much love and care for the past four years and Encompass Hospice for their assistance in her final days. No service is planned. Private burial next to her husband Kenneth will be at a later date in Dodge City, Kansas. A Bonnie Fraser Memorial has been established at The Wichita Botanical Gardens, 701 Amidon, Wichita, KS. 67203. Baker Funeral Home, Valley Center, Kansas is handling arrangements.
