Bill Clayborn Faunce - nicknamed 'Catfish Willy', 94, passed away on Sunday, November 27, 2022 in El Dorado, Kansas surrounded by loved ones. He was born in Anthony, Kansas to Ira E. Faunce and Flossie (Hogoboom) Faunce. He was a lifetime resident of Burns, Kansas and later moved to El Dorado, Kansas.  Bill enjoyed many things, yet his favorite were fishing, four wheeling and crafting.  But his greatest enjoyment and love was his family.

He married the love of his life Dora May (Talkington) Faunce in 1949. She preceded him. He was also preceded by his children Audie and Dorla Faunce, his parents Ira and Flossie, sister Earlene Ehrlich, brothers Otis, Robert, Floyd and Virgil Faunce.

Bill is survived by his children Shirley (Glen) Swope, Wade (Mary) Faunce, William (Rita) Faunce and Eric (Stacy) Faunce; sisters Rose Talkington and Carrie Griffith; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
