Obituary

Beverly Ann Candy, 73, passed peacefully in her sleep with family by her side on Thursday, November 9th.  Bev owned and operated C&D car wash at 13th and Broadway for 20 years.

Beverly was born January 28, 1950, in Harrison, Arkansas to L.D. Diamond and Willie Faye (Mays) Diamond.  They moved to Wichita, Kansas when she was 18 months old. Beverly married Jim F. "Sonny" Candy on November 22, 1976.

She was an artist whose artwork was displayed in the American Red Cross office throughout the world for more than 23 years and did several pieces for Henry's Department store.

She is preceded in death by her grandparents JL McKinney & Fern Belle Arnold, Loyd Diamond & Violet Marie Thornton, Mary Ethel Johnson & William Samuel Mays, her parents L.D. & Faye Diamond, her younger brother Larry Dean Diamond.

She is survived by her beloved husband Sonny, her sister Linda Kaye Stoner (Michael), her brother Richard Allen Diamond, several nieces, nephews and friends.

In lieu of flowers Memorials may be designated in her memory for the American Diabetes Association.

Visitation will be held 1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 14th at Baker Funeral Home Valley Center, Kansas where family will be receiving.
