Pierce, Betty Louise (Mitchell), 85, passed away on Friday, November 23, 2012. She was born in Gordon, Kansas, to Herman Elbert Mitchell and Lottie Belle (Sutton) Mitchell. She was a graduate of Belle Plaine High School. Betty is survived by her son, Marty Pierce of Valley Center; daughter-in-law, Joyce Pierce; grandchildren, Derek Pierce and wife Jolynn, Diana Alderson and husband Terry, Dorian Ramirez and husband Felix; great grandchildren, Reed Pierce, Elizabeth Pierce, Tyler Alderson, Taylor Alderson, Corbin Alderson, Chase Ramirez and Isabella Ramirez; brother-in-law, Marsh Pierce of Newton; sister-in-laws, Mary Mitchell of Colorado and Ella Neptune of Belle Plaine, Kansas. She is preceded in death by her husband, Malcom "Red" Pierce; son, Alan W. "Pee Wee" Pierce; parents, Herman and Lottie Mitchell; brothers, Thomas Mitchell, Glenn Mitchell and Charles Mitchell; sisters, Wanda Jacobs and Barbara Jo Young. Services will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, November 29, at Baker Funeral Home, 100 S. Cedar, Valley Center. Burial following the service at Belle Plaine Cemetery, Belle Plaine, Kansas.
