Betty Galloway was born February 28, 1942 in Brush, Colorado to Dan and Mulvina Emhovick. She was the youngest of 8 children. She left Brush after graduating high school and went to Denver CO. There she met the love of her life, Kennith Galloway. They married December 1, 1962. In 1964 they had a daughter, Sandra, and two years later a son, Scott. Ken and Betty lived in several different states during the first part of their marriage of 50 years. Utah, Nebraska, Texas, Colorado, Wyoming and finally settling in Bentley, Kansas in 1976. This is where they both started their own business Ken manufactured resistant welders while Betty opened a small Grocery Store. They raised their children in the small community. Betty resided near this community until the day she passed.
Betty is survived by her son Scott Galloway and wife Asa Galloway, daughter Sandra Petersen and husband Mike Petersen; six grandchildren: Jeremy Petersen and wife Jeni, Landon Petersen and wife Kistin, Montanna Schultz and husband Cameron, Brandon Pratt and Kenzie Galloway; three great grandchildren, Paislee Petersen, Riata Schultz and Jobi Queen and husband Dalton; one great-great grandson Pake Queen; sister Mary Stewart; several nieces and nephews. Betty is preceded in death by her husband Kennith Galloway, father Dan Emovick, mother Mulvina Emhovick, sisters Helen Erosky, Pauline Duvall, Dorthy Millway, brothers Dan Emhovick, Paul Emhovick, and Bill Emhovick. Betty was a member of the Bentley United Methodist Church. She left this world on October 7, 2020. She will be greatly missed by all.
Service will be held 4:00 p.m., Saturday, October 10, at Bentley Senior Center, 504 E. Sterling, Bentley, KS 67016. Memorials may be designated in her memory to NSCA (National Saddle Club Association), 13530 W. 109 th N., Sedgwick, Ks 67135. Condolences may be left for the family at www.bakerfhvc.com
