Obituary

Betty Louise Callison, 95, passed away on Sunday, July 12, 2020.  She was born January 1, 1925, in Elkins, West Virginia to Granville Hartwell Hess and Ethel Catherine (Hamilton) Hess. She married the love of her life Asa A. Callison. They settled 1959 in Valley Center, Kansas where they raised their family. Betty's extended family were her 'kids' she cared for as a former licensed daycare provider in Valley Center, Kansas.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Granville and Ethel Hess; husband, Asa Callison and daughter, Sharon Patterson.  Betty is survived by her son, Richard Callison; sister, Barbara Mayo; 11 grandchildren, Kim Sutter, Shelley Schroeder, Paul Watson, Sarah Gordon, Heather Herrera, Christy Harroald, Tina Trosper, Justin Hill, Kacey Bradshaw, Ashley Smith, and Stephanie Drake; 33 great-grandchildren, and 7 great-great grandchildren.

Visitation viewing "come-and-go" at Baker Funeral Home, 100 S. Cedar, Valley Center, Ks, will be held Thursday, July 16 th , 2020, from 5-7 pm. MASKS REQUIRED.  A Graveside Service at Resthaven Gardens of Memory, 11800 West, US-54, Wichita, Ks will be held at 10:00 am, Friday, July 17, 2020. MASKS REQUIRED. A memorial has been established with the Veterans Administration. Baker Funeral Home Valley Center handling arrangements. Condolences may be left for the family at www.bakerfhvc.com
