WICHITA
Hays, Barbara Lou (Hale), 76, beloved mom and grandma, passed away on Friday, February 28, 2014. She was born in Wichita, Kansas to James Otis and Gladys Louise Hale. She enjoyed working at Cowtown in the Popcorn Shop and Funnel cakes at the Craft Shows. She dearly loved her family and enjoyed the time she spent with them. Barbara is survived by her children, Lori DeWeese of Overland Park, Jack (Charisa) Hays of Valley Center, Sherry (Dan) Murphy of Wichita, son-in-law Brian DeWeese of Overland Park, daughter-in-law Brenda Rogers of Inman; grandchildren, Tori DeWeese, Brina DeWeese, Dalton DeWeese, Crystal (Brent) Smith, Brandy (Josh) Noone, Lottie Hays, Desarae Hays, Braden Hays, Marissa Hays, Amber Murphy and Briana Murphy; great grandchildren, Jayden Murphy, Jacie Irving, Logan Fisher, Gavin Fisher, Savannah Smith, Cheyenne Smith and Alexis Noone; brothers, Don (Pat) Hale of Wichita, Claude (Barbara) Hale of Wichita; many other family and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband Jack T. Hays, son Michael Rogers, sister Anna Mae, brothers Jimmy and David Hale.
Visitation 5-7 p.m., Tuesday, March 4 at Baker Funeral Home, 100 S. Cedar, Valley Center. Service will be 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, March 5 at Furley United Methodist Church, 11400 E. 101st St. N. Greenwich Rd,, Furley, Kansas.
