Denny, Aurelia Mary Eveline (McGee) , 80, retired IRS Auditor, Artist and Teacher, passed away Wednesday, February 18, 2015. She was born in Hollis, Oklahoma to Framon Jourdaunt "F.J." McGee and Nova Joyce (Cecil) McGee. She was a graduate of Wellington High School, Wellington, Texas. She was a graduate of Amarillo College and West Texas State University receiving her Bachelor of Arts in Education. On November 3, 1952 in Childress, Texas, she married the love of her life, Marvin C. Denny, who preceded her in death on Jan 30. She was an accomplished Artist and was a past member of the Kansas Art Guild and Wichita Oil Painting Society. She enjoyed teaching and being a substitute in many schools, including Valley Center District 262. She became an Auditor for the I.R.S where she retired after many years of service. She is survived by her sons David Denny of Potwin, Dan Denny of Savannah, GA and Roger Denny of Belle Plaine; daughter Nikki (Steve) Hipps of Valley Center; 7 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; brothers John (Marsha) McGee of Gainesville, TX, Theodore "Ted" (Johnnie) McGee of Happy, TX; sisters Carolyn Gifford of Austin, TX and Franova "Fran" Burton of Tulia, TX; many other family and friends. She was also preceded by her parents F.J. and Joyce McGee, her brother Harvey "Hap" McGee and sister Cloy Jackson. Visitation 5-7 p.m., Thursday, February 26; Services 2:00 p.m., Friday, February 27, both held at Christian Church, 1801 E. Fifth, Valley Center, Kansas. Graveside will follow the service at Valley Center Memorial Cemetery, 9700 N. Meridian, Valley Center, Kansas.
