Armando "Mando" Serrano 77 yrs old , passed away on Saturday, January 3, 2026 in Wichita, Kansas.
Mando was born in Baytown,Texas to Cornelio and Martina Estrada Serrano. He was a life long resident of Baytown, Texas, he attended schools and was a graduate of Robert E, Lee high school. After graduation Mando joined the United States Airforce as a surgical technician for 25 years. He retired from the Airforce in 1993 as Chief Master Sergeant. During their life together they had four children, Gene Serrano, Joe M Serrano III, Christina Garcia, and Rosalie "Rosie" Serrano.
Mando was a lifelong loyal Dallas Cowboys fan. He enjoyed activities such as playing fastpitch, golfing, and bowling, but spending his time watching old westerns such as Gun Smoke and Wagon Train with his sidekick Eddie at his feet was most likely his favorite way to spend his retired days.
If you were lucky enough to know Mando, you got to hear the many stories he told. He was the fifth brother to the Cartwright's in Bonanza. He knew a special form of martial arts called JuJitzu Nanoo Nanoo and loved to tell jokes and even more stories to whoever would listen. Mando was a great man who was loved by many and he will be missed by even more.
