ANITA  (FISHER)  HARKINS  JOBERT, 76 years, passed away on Tuesday, January 9, 2018. She grew up in Bird City, Kansas, graduating High School in 1959. She married Melvin Harkins in 1958. To this union was son Michael in 1961, daughter Kari Lin in 1964 and daughter Mary Michelle in 1969. Anita graduated from Colby Community College in 1970, Ft. Hays State College in 1973 and got her masters in Social Work from the University of Kansas in 1976. Anita loved her work as a therapist and continued to do so until Spring of 2017. She married Robert Jobert in 1976. Together they enjoyed gardening and extensive travel, particularly in the American Southwest. Anita was preceded in death by her parents, daughter Kari Lin, husbands Robert and Melvin, grandsons Colby and Preston. She is survived by her son Michael (Truda), and daughter Mary; grandchildren Zachary, Ashley, Courtney, Brittany, Ciarra, Jade, Lacy, Jake; her brother Lyle (Janice); many other family and friends. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be designated in her memory to Kansas Humane Society, 3313 N. Hillside, Wichita, Ks 67219 and Dear Neighbor Ministries, 1329 S. Bluffview Dr., Wichita, Ks 67218. Services will be held 1:00 p.m., Saturday, January 20, at Baker Funeral Home, 100 S. Cedar, Valley Center. A private family graveside will be held at the Kechi Township Cemetery, Wichita, Kansas.
