Obituary

Anise Gynell Berry was born in Eureka, Kansas on August 18, 1937. The daughter of Abby and Guy Taylor, she was the youngest of three children, her older brothers being Phillip Taylor and Kenneth Taylor. She grew up in the small town of Reese Kansas, going to school and working in Eureka.

She earned her teaching degree at Emporia State University while working 3 jobs to support herself and her mother. In Eureka, she met her husband Cecil Berry, and they were married in 1958.

After moving to Wichita, she and her husband were blessed with their first child Cecilia Anne (October 24, 1958).  Later, she and Cecil had their second child, Jeffrey Guy, born December 17, 1968. In Wichita, Gynell taught first grade at USD 259. She held this position for 44 years, during which time she taught many hundreds of students

Gynell was proceeded in death by her parents, husband, and eldest daughter. She is survived by her Son and daughter-in-law, 4 grandchildren, and 7 great grandchildren.

Funeral services and burial will be held at the Benton Cemetery on Saturday February the 28 at 10:30 am.
