Angela (Hilpert)
Sawyer
November 6, 1973 – March 14, 2026
Angela Renee Sawyer of Sedgwick, Kansas, a spectacular, Jesus Loving, kind hearted, warm, gentle and empathetic woman went into the loving arms of Jesus Christ March 14th, 2026. She has been made whole again after a prolonged battle with chronic illness and complications. She is no longer bound to her earthly suffering.
Affectionately called Angie, her personality was larger than life. Originally hailing from Memphis, Missouri, her early childhood reflects days spent on the family farm, racing horses and tending cattle. She went on to graduate from college at Missouri State College with her bachelors in social work. She gained a masters degree in social work from Newman University in 2006.
She made a profound impact to the community and those around her. Her early social work included working with children in foster care, emergency crisis response, outreach programs and more. In recent years she found home in her work at Valley Hope, reaching those struggling with addiction recovery.
Angie was a giver. She was solid in her faith and rejoiced in Jesus. She had a servants heart and made a difference. She loved reading, watching bad action movies, good music and being surrounded by her friends. She was a mother, a best friend, a sister, and a beacon of light and love. Her absence has left a void in the lives of those that loved her. She had plans for the future and was excited for tomorrow. She is deeply loved and will be missed forever. Her legacy will be carried across time and space.
"The Lord is near to the broken hearted, and saves those who are crushed in spirit." Psalm 34:18
Rest Easy Angie, Until we meet again.
