Alvin D. Bastow was born to parents George A. and Eva (Schuessler) Bastow in Wichita, Kansas on October 21, 1939 and passed away on September 8, 2021 age 81.

He grew up on a farm and farmed most of his life. Alvin was a simple man who loved everybody. He was a big jokester and he loved to talk your ear off. He enjoyed watching his squirrels chasing each other around in his yard as well as the deer. He also loved to coon hunt. He always looked forward to Sunday's when we had our family dinner's. Alvin Bastow was babtized on November 17, 2020.

Alvin is preceded in death by his grandparents George and Betsy Schuessler, Arthur and Katie Bastow, nephew Mark John's, brother Orville Bastow and sister Vera John's.  He is survived by son Terry Bastow wife Belinda, daughter Jan Scott husband Roy, son Glen Bastow wife Crystal; grandchildren Brandon Bastow, Tori Miller, Ethan Bastow, Dave Griffith, Dustin Griffith, Devan Griffith, Glen Jr Bastow, Kevin Bastow, Jack Bastow and multiple great grandchildren and family members.

Service 10:00 a.m., Friday, September 17, at the Valley Center Christian Church, 1801 E. Fifth, Valley Center, Kansas. Graveside following at Sunnydale Park Cemetery, N. Hydraulic, Valley Center, Kansas.
