Albert E. Miller Sr, 78, passed away on Monday, February 9, 2026. He was aborn to John and Berdina Miller in Kearney, Nebraska on Friday, August 29, 1947. His family moved to Wichita, Kansas while he was still in elementary school. After graduation, in 1965 he enlisted in the Air Force serving 6 years through the Vietnam War. In 1969 he met the love of his life, Evelyn Cowel. They married July 2, 1971 and moved to Park City in 1975, where they lived for 45 years, raising two sons.

Albert spent many years working for Boeing and then Spirit Aircraft until retirement.  He was a Boy Scout of America leader for 22 years when both of his sons and then his grandsons were in scouts. Albert loved camping and fishing, if the weather was decent and you couldn't find him, chances are, he was out fishing.

Albert "Poppy" was preceded in death by his wife Evelyn Miller, his parents John and Berdina, and his sister Elveretta Mitts.  He is survived by his sons Albert E. Miller Jr. and Chris (Chrystal) Miller, grandsons Justin Miller, John Miller and Chance Miller, granddaughters Mysteri (Jake) Wedman and Corlyssa Miller, great grandson Wyatt Yates, great granddaughters Paytin Wedman and Penelope Miller, other family and friends.

Services will be held at Baker Funeral Home Valley Center Chapel with Visitation 1:00 pm and Service 2:00 pm on Tuesday, February 17th. Graveside will follow at the Kechi Township Cemetery, 6523 N. Hillside, Wichita, Kansas.  Condolences may be left for the family at www.bakerfhvc.com.
